Hotel Mark Twain

(Bryan Clark)
August 5, 2004
This is real place in Hollywood. At the corner of Wilcox in between sunset and hollywood blvd. The picture of me on the web site is right in front of the Hotel.
Hotel Mark Twain

Verse 1 & 2:
Did I really spend December in that hotel lounge?
Between the barstool and the bedroom days got turned around
Like those fan blades that orbit around the room
I got to spin you in a world of Huck Finn lies
At the hotel mark twain

As I rifled through the kitchen “Puddin’ Head” disguised
Skirted through the laundry pass the ballroom
But the “tripods” caught me their payday flashing
I turned into a headline gear
The damage stripped me down…Huck Finn cries
At the hotel mark twain

Bridge:
They said I lived in a world of tyranny for hire
And that I stole, wholesale your treasures
Like napoleon in the Nile
And I weathered their storm full of lies
And now………

I’m free from the headlines that snared me
They really spun me in a world of Huck Finn lies
At the hotel mark twain

SOLO:

Verse:
Here I am again feet back on solid ground
I let my entitlement expire as the hotel clown
The books won’t lie dear there’s still evidence that I was here
If you come looking around…but…
Huck Finn lied, Huck Finn cried, Huck Finn died…
At the hotel mark twain.
